On August 15, 1947, we gained our independence after centuries of slavery.

Our country gained independence on this day, which is why it is known as Independence Day.

Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, and Chandrashekhar Azad spread the flames of revolution and gave their lives in the process.

Following that, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Gandhiji, and Nehruji fought for truth and nonviolence.

They participated in Satyagraha activities, spent time in jail, and compelled the British to quit our nation.

As a result, the 15th of August, 1947, became a “great day” for us. Our country gained independence. We have been celebrating this day with great passion and delight since 1947.

On this day the national flag is hoisted in all schools, government offices, national anthem is sung and tribute is paid to all these great men, martyrs who made efforts for independence. Sweets are distributed.
