Hindus consider Mahashivratri to be the most sacred festival.

The Hindu festival of Mahashivratri takes place every year on the Chaturdashi of the month of Falgun.

Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva were married on this day.

Lord Shiva carried the poison obtained from the churning of the ocean around his neck on this day and saved the world from destruction.

Lord Shiva’s temples are beautifully decorated on this day, and worship is performed by offering him with milk or water.

Lord Shiva is thought to be delighted with Bel leaves, Datura, Jujube fruit, and milk

Brahma and Vishnu first worshiped Bholenath on this night, according to Shiva Maha Purana.

Mahashivratri is the darkest and most energetic of the 12 Shivaratris of the year.

According to legend, 64 Jyotirlingas of Shiva appeared on this day, of which only 12 are visible today.

Bhole, Shankar, Mahadev, Mahakal, Nataraja, and many other names are associated with Lord Shiva.

To please Mahadev, there is no need for any rituals and worship etc., he becomes happy only in a few offerings, that is why he is called Bhole Baba.
