Refraction is the bending of light when it passes through a medium such as water or glass.

 

Define Angle of incidence.

The angle between the incident ray and the normal is called the angle of incidence.

 

Define Angle of reflection.

The angle between the reflected ray and the normal is called the angle of reflection.

 

Define Concave mirror.

A concave mirror is a mirror that curves inward like a bowl, and it can form both real and virtual images depending on the position of the object.

 

Define Convex mirror.

A convex mirror is a mirror that curves outward like the back of a spoon, and it always forms virtual images that are smaller than the object.

 

Define Retina.

The retina is the innermost layer of the eye, which contains photoreceptor cells that detect light and send signals to the brain.

 

Define Prism.

A prism is a triangular piece of glass that can split white light into its different colors.

 

Define Spectrum.

The spectrum is the range of colors that can be seen when white light is split using a prism or other means.
