Fiber and its Types
Fiber is an extremely thin, thread-like strand from which fabric is formed.
- Fibers can be divided into two groups:
- Natural fibers, and Synthetic fibers.
- The fibers obtained from plants and animals are called natural fibers
- The synthetic fibers are made by human beings
Polymer and its types :
A polymer is a “very large molecule” produced by the combining of many small molecules.
- Polymers are of two types: Natural polymers and Synthetic polymers
- Cotton fiber is comprised of cellulose, a natural polymer.
