** 5/5 > 4/5 > 3/5 >2/5 > 1/5 is in descending order**

*It means when all the denominators are the same the greater numerator has a greater value.*

1/5 < 2/5 < 3/5 < 4/5 < 5/5 is in ascending order

*Fractions with the same denominator are called like fractions.*

Put Greater than > or Less than <

## Equivalent Fractions:-

Fractions with the same or equal value are called equivalent fractions.

Suppose we have to make an equivalent fraction of 2/3 = 2×2 /3×2 = 4/6

if you simplify 4/6 you will get 2/3.

Write equivalent fraction of 1/4.

1/4 = 2/8 , 3/12 , 4/16

## Adding Fractions:-

2/5 + 1/5 = 3/5

when we add two or more fractions with the same denominator add the only numerator, the denominator remains the same.

3/7 + 2/7 = 5/7

## How do you multiply fractions?

To multiply fractions, multiply the numerators and then the denominators.
