Explain the terms:

Minerals:– Organic and inorganic substances that change under heat and pressure to assume a certain chemical composition are called minerals.

Geothermal energy:– The energy that is obtained by controlling the steam generated from the ground due to the geothermal process is called geothermal energy. This heat energy can be used to generate power.

Tidal energy:- The energy generated from tides is called tidal energy. This energy is obtained by constructing dams near narrow openings of the sea. During high tide, the tidal energy is used to turn the turbines installed in the dam to produce electricity. Tidal energy is inexhaustible and pollution-free.

Biogas

Organic material such as dead plants and animal residues, animal dung, and kitchen waste can be converted into a gaseous fuel called biogas. The decomposition of these substances releases methane and carbon dioxide gases. Biogas is excellent fuel for cooking and generating electricity and produces a large amount of organic manure.
