The material which sinks in water is heavier than water. For Example – Metals like iron copper aluminum stone

The material which floats on water is lighter than water. For Example: – wood, plastic, ice, etc.

 

[Q] What are the different Methods of purification of water?

Filtration

In this method, we use filter paper to purify the water. with the help of filter paper, we separate those impurities which is not soluble in water.

Boiling

Boiling is another way to purify water boiling water for 10 to 15 mins can kill the germs present in it.this is the simplest method to purify water.

Chlorination

In this method, we use chlorine tablets in water to kill germs.

Water Purifiers: –

Nowadays we can see that in so many houses people use Water purifiers to clean the water.
