(b) How did some people in the community become skilled craftsmen?
Due to the agricultural system providing more food than the community needed, some people in the community became skilled artisans. The remaining food allowed some people to have extra time and use their natural creativity to build specific skills. Such special ability members were given work based on their ability, which led to the development of various crafts like making pottery, beads and other materials. This happened when people gained the ability to store food grains for long periods of time and had the opportunity to do something outside of food production.
