Factors –
A number that divides another number completely and leaves no remainder is called a factor.
Example – Factor of 16 are 2,4,8,16
Multiple
A dividend that is divisible by its factors is known as the multiple.
Example – Multiples of 3 are 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30
Prime numbers
Number which has only two factors, namely 1 and the number itself.
Example – Prime numbers are 2,3,5,7,11,13,17 etc. 2 is the only even prime number.
Composite number-
Numbers with more than two factors.
Example – 6,8,9,10
Co-prime numbers
A pair of numbers with just one common factor is called a co-prime number.
HCF
Higher common factors are factors which are common factors of two or more numbers.
Example – Find the HCF of 24 and 48

LCM
A least common multiple is a number which has a common multiple of two or more than two numbers.
Example – LCM of 12,15,and 20

Twin-prime numbers
A twin-prime number is a pair of primes whose difference is 2.
