The NEET (National Entrance Eligibility test) is an important exam for medical aspirants. As many of us are aware that it is a medical entrance exam, it is understood that it contains three science majors Physics, Chemistry, and Biology syllabus. Remember that the syllabus pattern is based on class 11th and class 12th. However, many aspirants focus on Physics and Biology, but they find Chemistry a challenging module. It is because this module contains sophisticated concepts like the covalent bond and much more.

So, to make the job easier, we have highlighted certain strategies that help aspirants score excellent marks in the Chemistry section of the NEET.

How to Gain More Marks in Chemistry in the NEET exam?

According to several reports, almost 36% of NEET Chemistry weightage is allotted to Physical and Inorganic Chemistry and 28% allotted to Organic Chemistry. So, we have mentioned a few effective tips on how to gain more scores in this section.

1.      Practice constants and reactants phenomena

Complicated reactions are difficult to understand, and that is the fact. And there are many constants too included in the equilibrium chapter. Thus, practice both of them as these both contain a crucial marks weightage in the paper. For aspirants, we suggest practicing them from the NCERT and the previous year paper.

Make proper notes and jot down every important point and value on the piece of paper. Remember that in the exam there is hardly any time for aspirants to rectify major errors. Therefore it is recommended to memorize important constants as much as possible. Almost 80% of constant aspirants should remember to ace the examination.

2.      Refer to previous year paper

We know that many will disagree with this point, but practicing previous year papers is equally crucial along with the sample paper and reference books. It is because if you refer to them from at least 5 years previous papers, one thing you will notice is that few of the questions are of a similar kind only.

That is why if NEET Chemistry becomes a challenging task to understand for aspirants, we straightforwardly recommend solving previous year papers first and then start with reference books.  No matter how much ionic bond questions or chain reaction questions are troubling you. One stop remedy to rectify such issues is to solve the previous year’s paper. Wondering where to get them from? Browse the internet or get them from the book store.

3.      Solve numerical as well

Although aspirants may have a good command of the theoretical concept, numerical understanding is also important to fetch good marks in the examination. Thermodynamics and organic chemistry these two major NEET Chemistry topics are important to prepare. Also, these sections contain more numerical instead of theoretical questions.

But before jumping to the solving part, it is recommended to refer to NCERT books and reference books to get more conceptual ideas about the solving approach. Do not ignore the importance of the numerical question and begin its early preparation as soon as possible.

4.      Regular revision is a must

Clearing the NEET exam is not such an easy job, so to make the exam clearing process easy, regular revision is a must. Mastering topics like important equations, reactions, and mechanisms is not an overnight job. To get good knowledge about concept practice study materials regularly and revise important formulas as well.

For making your job easier, there are plenty of revision notes available online and in print format. Refer to them and study daily. Also, spare different time for revision apart from the study time. It will help aspirants to acquire more knowledge efficiently.
