The greatest resource for any nation is its people. Nature’s Beauty can only be meaningful to people if they find it useful. According to their needs and abilities, people turn them into resources. People who are highly educated and inspirational develop resources based on their needs. Human resources are therefore the most valuable resource.

 

[Que] What are the causes of the unequal distribution of population in the world?

Throughout the world, the distribution of population is very uneven with some areas being densely populated and others sparsely populated.High-altitude regions, tropical deserts, mountains, and tropical forests are sparsely populated while Southeast Asia, Europe, and north-east North America are densely populated.There are more people living in the northern hemisphere than in the southern hemisphere, about three-fourths of the world’s population live in Asia and Africa.

 

[Que] What is meant by population density or define population density?

Population density is the number of people living in a unit Geographic area of the Earth’s surface it is normally expressed as per square kilometre. The density of the population Can also be expressed According to the following formula:

Density of Population = Total Population of the Country / Total Area of the Country. 

For example, India has an average population density of 382 persons per square kilometre as per the Census of the year 2011

 

[Que] Describe the role of any two factors affecting the population of distribution.

The major factors which affect the population are as follows: 

First Geographical Factors and Second – Social, Cultural, and Economic Factors

Geographical factors include topography climate soil water and Minerals while the social cultural and economic factors include social factors and cultural factors economic factors.

Topography: –

People prefer to live on the plains rather than on mountains or plateaus. Because they are suitable for agriculture and services, Gangetic plain has the highest-density of population in the world. 

Soil and water

A fertile soil is suitable for agriculture, people prefer to live in places with easy access to freshwater, like the river valleys of the world, which are densely populated.

Mineral-rich regions are more popular diamond mines of South Africa and oil discoveries in the Middle East lead people to settle there

Social factor– There is a higher density of population in areas with good housing, education, and health facilities.

Cultural factor -People are attracted to places with religious or cultural significance, such as Varanasi and Vatican City.

Economic factors – industrial areas provide employment opportunities – a large number of people are attracted to these areas – Osaka in Japan and Mumbai in India have dense populations.
