(i) Why are people considered a resource?

They can turn natural resources into valuable assets through their demands and capabilities. People who are healthy, educated and motivated can contribute to the economy and society by participating in various sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, services, etc.
(ii) What are the causes for the uneven distribution of population in the world?
There are a lot of factors that affect population distribution around the world:
Population is higher in areas with good agricultural and economic conditions due to topography, climate, soil fertility, water availability, and mineral resources.
Various social, cultural, and economic factors: Areas with better housing, education, health care, religious significance, and industrial opportunities attract more people.
(iii) The world population has grown very rapidly. Why?
