Seeds that do not divide into two equal parts are called monocotyledonous seeds.

 

[Que] Define Dicot seeds.

Seeds that get divided into two equal parts are called dicotyledonous Seeds.

 

[Que] Which is the female reproductive part of a flower?

Gynoecium.

 

[Que] Which is the male reproductive part of the flower?

Androecium

 

[Que] What is pollination?

In the process of pollination, pollen grains are released after the anthers burst and fall on the stigma. During pollination, ovules are fertilized. Fertilized ovules mature into seeds and form fruits in the ovary.

 

Give examples of 3 plants that have:

  •  Spiny Fruits – Jackfruit, Breadfruits, and Custard Apple.
  • Spiny Stem – Rose, Cactus
  • Red Flowers – Rose, Hibiscus,
  • Yellow Flowers – marigold, sunflower
  • Leaves Which Close at Night – Mimosa & Acacia
  • Single-Seeded Fruits – Mango
  • Many-Seeded Fruits – Apple, Watermelon and Papaya
