We grow plants that are useful to us in a methodical way by sowing seeds, providing water, manure, and pesticides when necessary. Plants satisfy our needs abundantly.

A: Arboreal animals are animals like monkeys and squirrels that live on trees. They have certain advantages like being better able to defend themselves from their enemies and being able to eat the fruits of the trees to satisfy their hunger.

 

Q: What are some ways people protect themselves from the rain during the rainy season?

A: People use umbrellas or different kinds of raincoats and hoods to avoid getting wet in the rain during the rainy season.

 

Q: What is the season of “paangal” in Maharashtra and why is it called that?

A: Winter is called the season of “paangal” in Maharashtra because many trees shed their leaves during this season.

 

Q: What happens to the coats of furry animals in winter and why?

A: The coats of many furry animals become thicker in winter to keep them warm in the cold season.

 

Q: What happens to mango trees at the end of winter and what are their blossoms called in Marathi?

A: At the end of winter, mango trees start blossoming and their blossoms are called “mohur” in Marathi.
