What is Non-luminous objects?
Non-luminous objects do not emit light on their own”. Luminous objects emit light, which falls on non-luminous objects and reflects back to our eyes, so that we can see them. Non-luminous objects are the moon, a book, a pen, a wooden box, a cupboard, and a chair
How light moves?
Light moves in a straight line, and its rays indicate the path traveled by it. The material through which light travels is called the medium.
Define opaque objects?
Opaque objects are those through which we cannot see anything. Opaque media don’t allow light to pass through them.
Define transparent?
Transparent objects are those through which we can see clearly. Transparent media are those that permit all light to pass through them.
Define translucent?
A translucent object is one that allows us to see some light through it, and cannot see the objects on the other side clearly. A translucent medium is one that only allows a portion of the light reaching it pass through.
