On 23 January 1897, Subhas Chandra Bose was born.

The Indians referred to Subhash Chandra Bose as Netaji.

Subhash Chandra Bose was born in the Cuttack district of Orissa.

He was the son of Janaki Nath Bose, a successful barrister, and Prabhavati Devi, a housewife.

Subhash studied at the Anglo Indian School in Cuttack and at the Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy.

Netaji founded the Azad Hind Fauj and prepared the country’s army. It was known as the Indian National Army.
