III. Answer the question in two or three paragraphs (100–150 words).

1. How does Evelyn hear music?
Evelyn Glennie hears music through her body rather than relying on her ears. She describes feeling the music pouring in through every part of her body, tingling in her skin, cheekbones, and even her hair. When she plays the xylophone, she can sense the sound passing up the stick into her fingertips. By leaning against the drums, she feels the resonances flowing into her body. She also removes her shoes on a wooden platform, allowing vibrations to pass through her bare feet and up her legs. Her ability to sense vibrations and locate different notes in different parts of her body allows her to perceive and interpret music, enabling her to express it beautifully in her performances.
