Ans.13 – It is necessary to have taken an X-ray of the ankle in order to diagnose the injury. X-rays could have confirmed that the ankle had been fractured.
Ans.14-We are able to bend body parts such as elbows, knees, etc. due to the different types of joints between the bones. The hinge joint connects the elbow and knee, meaning two bones are joined together. Joints and muscles allow us to bend the elbow and knee.

(b) The head could be rotated to 360 degrees.
Ans.16- Earthworms are called ‘farmer’s friends’. They improve the quality of soil. They do this by burrowing into the ground, making the soil more loose and allowing air and water to circulate. Earthworms also improve soil fertility by excreting undigested matter.

The streamlined bodies of birds are designed for flight, which is why they can fly. Birds have hollow and light bones. Walking and perching are done with the hind limbs. Forelimbs are modified into wings. Shoulder bones are strong. A modified breast bone holds muscles that move wings up and down.
