1. Why do we wear clothes and what type of clothes do we wear to keep ourselves warm?

We wear clothes to protect us from the heat of the sun, rain, cold and insect bite. We wear the clothes depends on the weather of the place like we wear a raincoat in the rainy season because raincoat protects us from rain and helps to keep us dry. We wear woollen clothes in winter because woollen clothes protect us from cold and help to keep us warm.

2. Name the two types of fibre?

There are two types of fibres , 1] Natural & 2] Synthetic.

1. Natural fibre: – fibre that obtained from plants or animals are called natural fibre.
2. Synthetic fibre that are not found naturally and are made by man are called synthetic fibres.

3. Give any three reasons why we wear clothes?

We wear clothes for the following reasons:-

1. Cotton clothes protect us from the heat of the sun and help to keep us cool.
2. Raincoats protect us from rain and help to keep us dry.
3. Woollens protect us from cold and help to keep us warm.
4. Wearing full sleeves clothes can protect us from insect bite such as the mosquito.

4. Write any three ways of taking care of our clothes?

The three ways by which you can take care of your clothes:-

1. clothes should be washed well with the good soap and detergent to remove all the Sweat and stains.
2. Woollen and silk clothes need a lot of care because they are easily attacked by small insects such as moth and silverfish. We have to keep moth balls and dried Neem leaves along with woollen clothes.
3. Woollen coats and trouser should be dry cleaned because they get damaged by plane washing.
